Established since 1987, the brandname “ThiPha Cable” has been 30 years old until now. Looking back on a long journey, what is your most favorite thing that ThiPha Cable has achieved?

Over 30 years of “fighting” on the market, ThiPha Cable has been known by everyone now as the leading brandname of electrical wires and cables in Vietnam. We have expanded not only the market in the country but also the market in Southeast Asia and other countries such as Myanmar, Cambodia, Laos, Philippines, Indonesia, India, Singapore, Malaysia, Australia, Africa, and South America’s countries.

That is our most favorite thing because it has been engraved and affirmed with what we have created and devoted throughout the long time. In addition, it is also the motivation for us to make a breakthrough for the challenging road ahead. Challenging road ahead. Currently, Thipha Cable is not only the main supplier for the national power transmission grid of Vietnam and other countries in the region such as: 500kV, 220kV, 110kV transmission line but also participates in the underground programs, upgrading power grid in big cities. Thipha Cable not only accompanies with the great targets of the country but also contributes to bring light to rural areas through energy projects funded by the banks: WB, ADB, KFW, AFD, JICA … contribute to reduce power loss, improve the quality of rural electricity in Vietnam.

Following those successes, ThiPha Cable has also penetrated deeper into other key projects such as airports, wharves, roads, office buildings, shopping centers, hotels, hospitals, apartments and houses … In the coming time, we are confident that the most important and key industries of the country will surely have the presence of ThiPha Cable.

The characteristics of an electric cables manufacturing enterprise always demands high requirement about the machines, technology, equipment, producing lines … So what is the secret to help ThiPha Cable grow as it is today when starting just from one small manufacturing workshop?

Our company was established in the context of the country implementing the renovation 30 years ago. We encountered many difficulties and challenges. However, we started at the right time and had a long-term strategic vision. Therefore, we were able to get the achievements like today. From a small manufacturing workshop with minimal equipment, ThiPha Cable has grown rapidly with the area of more than 25 hectares so far, with the most advanced technology and equipment from the US, Europe, Japan, It is considered one of the largest factories in Southeast Asia in the industry of manufacturing electric wires and cables. ThiPha Cable’s products are controlled the quality according to ISO 9001: 2008 standard, rigorously tested by leading modern testing machines from the UK, Korea, Japan … In addition, with the modern production process, closed from manufacturing input materials (copper rod, aluminum rod, PVC compound, XLPE …) to the production of finished products, so ThiPha Cable’s electric wires and cables always ensure the stability of quality and are trusted and favored by the domestic and foreign markets.

What kind of products does ThiPha Cable provide to the market?

ThiPha Cable provide the market very diverse and abundant products which include medium-voltage underground cables, low-voltage underground cables, fire resistant cables, bare conductors for overhead transmission lines and all kinds of building electric wires. In particular, Thipha Cable is the first Vietnamese enterprise with sufficient capacity to produce high-voltage underground cables up to 132kV. Estimated annually, ThiPha Cable supplies more than 90,000 tons of products to domestic and international markets.

Could you share your feeling when being awarded the Third-Class Labor Medal by the President and being honored continuously as a typical Vietnamese Entrepreneur over many years?

It is a great honor for me personally. However, behind the achievements that I have achieved as you mentioned above are the tireless efforts of a whole team of Thinh Phat officials and employees over many generations. That group helped ThiPha Cable to achieve many great prizes such as being awarded the Second-class Labor Medal by the President; was one of 19 enterprises awarded the National Quality Gold Prize 2004 and 2010 by the Prime Minister; was recognized as “National Brand” continuously from 2008 to 2016 by the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

In 2016, ThiPha Cable ranked 176 in the Top 500 largest enterprises in Vietnam and ranked 67 in the Top 500 largest private enterprises in Vietnam; achieved the title of “Typical Vietnamese enterprise”, “Typical Ho Chi Minh City enterprise”, “Prestigious export enterprise” for many consecutive years. ThiPha Cable’s electric wire and cable products have been voted the title of “High-quality Vietnamese goods” for many consecutive years by the consumers.

The achievements have been got like a miracle and like the message that you send in your brandname. That is “Thinh Phat” (prosperity and development). To go further, how will ThiPha Cable have a strategic vision in the coming journey?

We always set a long-term strategic vision in the development process. After 30 years of establishment and development, our vision is to bring ThiPha Cable to become the leading brandname of electrical wires and cables in Southeast Asia, bringing reliability and safety to every home and every electrical project in Vietnam and international markets.

Towards that target, ThiPha Cable is always aware of being at the forefront of creativity and high technology application, pioneering in researching and developing new products to meet the increasingly diverse needs of customers.

On the occasion of the New Year 2017 and also the 30th anniversary of Thipha Cable’s establishment, what do you share with the readers of the Bidding Newspaper?

The new year represents a new beginning, this is also an opportunity for us to review on the achieved results in the past year and set goals for the new year, so what I want most is that everyone will get a smooth beginning in all aspects of health, work, investment, business and finance.
