On the evening of October 13rd, Ho Chi Minh City Business Association celebrated the 14th anniversary of Vietnamese Entrepreneur’s Day (October 13rd, 2004 – October 13rd, 2018) and honored 199 typical entrepreneurs and enterprises of Ho Chi Minh City in 2018 at the City Hall.

These were the enterprises and entrepreneurs with outstanding achievements in production, business, well implementation of legal regulations, high contribution to the budget, contribution to the economic, cultural and social development, contribution to build a city of good living quality, civilized, modern and meaningful city; actively innovation and creation, constant enhancement of competitiveness, successful integration into regional and world economies.

Attending the anniversary were the comrades: Nguyen Thien Nhan, Politburo member, Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Secretary; Nguyen Thanh Phong, Member of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee; Than Thi Thu, Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, Head of Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Propaganda; To Thi Bich Chau, Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City; Le Thanh Liem, Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee; Tran Thi Dieu Thuy, Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation, together with the representatives of departments, boards and nearly 800 entrepreneurs were operating in many economic areas of Ho Chi Minh City.

At the ceremony, Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee honored 99 enterprises and 100 typical entrepreneurs of Ho Chi Minh City. Mr. Chu Tien Dung – Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City Business Association – said that the enterprises and entrepreneurs were honored with outstanding achievements, shining in Ho Chi Minh City’s business community, dynamic, innovative and creative in all industries. 99 enterprises, 100 entrepreneurs contributed over VND 250,000 billion in revenue, over VND 20,000 billion submitted to the state budget, and participated in social welfare activities of over VND 500 billion per year, created stable jobs for the above 130,000 workers. Mr. Chu Tien Dung also said that Ho Chi Minh City had more than 361,000 enterprises in the business registration system were operating, over 250,000 establishments and individual business households were operating. The city had always completed beyond the budget target of the years and there was the great contribution of the business community therein.

Speaking at the ceremony, Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Secretary Nguyen Thien Nhan sent good greetings to enterprises, entrepreneurs and expressed his belief in HCMC’s early 21st century entrepreneurial class would excellently inherit the tradition of 300 creative years of Saigon – Gia Dinh, Ho Chi Minh City, of more than 30 years of renovation of the Party, the Government and Ho Chi Minh City, to bring Ho Chi Minh City to break through development.

Thinh Phat Cables Joint Stock Company was one of the 99 enterprises honored to receive the award of “Ho Chi Minh City Typical Enterprise in 2018” and Mr. Vo Tan Thinh – Chairman and General Director – continued to be honored personally “Ho Chi Minh City typical entrepreneur in 2018” at the Ceremony.
